Hearing test

Okay, so Dr. Yu wasnt THAT horrible. He’s actually a cute little blading china man with glasses who wears pink satin ties. : ) Yes, absolutely adorable. So, anyways i had a hearing test done on me. For those who havn’t had a hearing test, its a bit… odd. and humiliating.

First he gets this thing that looks like something between those hand held radars that cops use to catching speeding cars, and like a lazer gun in SCI-FI films. All i know is that it goes in your ear, and makes whirring noises that make you feel like you got about a billion mosquitoes in there. Then you sit in a..well…a box, really. A tiny box with headphones on and your meant to press the button when you hear the buzz : )

Sounds simple enough, but my fear of being locked in small spaces didn’t quite help..== I sat there, jabbing away at the little joystick with the button it, whishing it’d be over soon, before the air in this airtight, soundproof…BOX the size of a refrigerator runs out, then the Ear docter opened it and told me to press it when i actually HEAR the noise, cuz frankly he hasn’t even started the test yet. == Two minutes later we compromised, and he let me keep the door open while i sat in the box, even though he kept reminding me that it might affect the result of the test. SNORT whateverrr. So i was done, and the result was that i had fluids in my left ear. : ) YAAAAAY~~ no hearing aid. :L He told me to ‘chew lots of gum’ and if my hearing hasn’t returned by two or three months, i need an operation where a tube with a teensy weensy little vacumn stuck to it is shoved down my ear to have all those lovely ear juices sucked right out. Delish.

But I’m really happy with the whole ‘chew lots of gum’ thing. I have no idea how it’s supposed to help me, but hey! now I have a medical reason for chewing gum in class.

Ms. E: SUSAN!!! what is that in your mouth.

Me: *Blows a massive pink bubble*, Its Hubba Bubba Miss.

Ms. E: Well, get rid of it IMMEDIATELY!

Me: I can’t Miss, its for medical reasons : ) The docter TOLD me to chew lots of gum

Ms. E: ….Oh, Okay then. I’m terribly sorry. It’s all my fault. Here, why don’t I just excuse you from writing that 100 page essay?… And you can have no homework, while you recover. : )

Sigh. I wish==

Anyways, I also went to L’s today AGAIN. We did… nothing in particular, J and P were there, and i made Fettucini Carbonara for lunch. : ) Cept i didn’t put enough salt and it tasted shit but P, J and L being such lovely friends said it tasted good. Then we made Chocolate cake for P, cuz it was her Bday a few days ago.

Annnnd HERE it is.

yeah, the knife in the middle kinda acted as a substitute candle. A substitute 13 candles actually, HAPPY THIRTEEN PAULA!!!!!!! . But it tasted kinda shit. LOL We put too much water in the mix.

Anyhows, my dear father is attempting to cook and i must assist him before he burns the place down.
